Zdenka has very kindly made me some banners. You can share each one by copying the code below it. Please promote this fest on your chosen platforms - the more participants, the merrier.

I have also updated the fest FAQ and Rules at the 2015 AO3 collection profile. Please take a look and let me know of any inconsistencies - or unanswered questions - that remain. You can comment here or email me at [email protected]. I am always happy to hear from people, even if you don't end up signing up.

- Something from the National even though their lyrics are deliberately mostly nonsense -- maybe "Mistaken for Strangers"? T

- "The Whipping Boy", Shearwater. Something is going on between that boy and that wolf.
- Jeff Buckley -- either "Everyone Here Wants You" or "I Know It's Over".

I like deliberately nonsense lyrics - they're fun to tease things out of.

I'm not sure I personally could pull so much out of 'Everyone Here Wants You' - 'I Know It's Over', maybe, or 'Forget Her'. Or 'So Real'? I love the lyrics of 'Morning Theft' but I'm not sure there's a story there.

Fleetwood Mac, Running Through the Garden: "Until she herself/ Became just as fatal/ As was her garden... So you run towards what you know is wrong..." Probably asking for both fic and art here.

Leonard Cohen, Stranger Song: "You notice there's a highway that is curling up like smoke above his shoulder." Definitely asking for art.

And -

Steely Dan, King of the World: "No marigolds in the Promised Land; there's a hole in the ground where they used to grow." If I nominate it, I'm probably asking for art.

The Green, Green Grass of Home - mainly because I like the Katherine Jenkins cover a lot more than I usually like classical singers doing pop, and she hasn't bothered changing any names, which suits me just fine. But I like Tom Jones, too. General Welshness. (ZOMG, here they both are!)

Gotta have some Seanan McGuire up in here, and "Darkness Falls" would be cheating, so...aw, "How Much Salt" isn't on Youtube. But "Downhome Aphrodite" is! (Nomming just the song, not the fanvid, of course.)

This one I am nominating the video: Janelle Monáe's "Q.U.E.E.N."

Dartmouth Decibelles' "House of Stone and Light" isn't on Youtube either, and it's subtly different in important ways from the Martin Page version. DAMMIT. I don't want the Martin Page version. So let's finish out with Sharon Knight's "Fire in the Head".

The song doesn't have to be on YouTube. I realise my wording of 'preferably' in the FAQ is a bit ambiguous. It does lower your chances that someone will offer or write/draw it.

But I see that the Dartmouth Decibelles have an up-to-date website and their albums are available to download from iTunes & listenable on Spotify, so that's not quite the exists-only-on-limited-edition-EP obscurity I was fearing....

I may have been making my list since the end of last year's exchange...I'm so glad it's Jukebox time again!

I'm definitely going to nominate Melissa Etheridge's cover of Only the Good Die Young, which is one of those covers that I think I like better than the original song.

I've been trying to decide on just which song from the Decemberists' new album to nominate, and I think I've mostly decided on Till the Water's All Long Gone, which definitely seems like it has the potential to sprout a neat story.

And then I have a list of about 10 other songs that I'll need to narrow down!

Unfortunately, no one's yet suggested to me a good way to incorporate them. I would prefer to avoid including other/larger fandoms in the exchange - and I don't really see what visual material for fanvids is offered by the canons allowed here. (Remixing a music video? Not sure.) Did you have an idea?

I had originally planned to mostly pull things off the True Detective soundtrack, not because I want any kind of stories related to the fandom, it just had a lot of songs that ate my brain!

I'm not sure I'm still committed to that plan, bu there are definitely a few I want to nom!

Definitely nominating the MV for Crazy by Song Ji Eun. There are two versions The original MV and a Second MV made for one of the music programs.

Another song/MV I am nominating is also by Song Ji Eun. It's called Don't Look At Me Like That.

For a third, I'm considering Come back Home by 2ne1 because I like the Sci-fi element to the video. Also, Ugly by 2ne1 but this is more for the song rather than the video.

Oops, everything seems to be k-pop pretty much but I can't help myself. :P

omg Lindsey Stirling I FORGOT ABOUT HER which was the video with the steampunk Western setting and the musical instrument weapons? "Roundtable Rival" that's it. Only problem is that it too is instrumental. Which is okay from my PoV, since it's the visuals I want fic of, but possibly that is violation of the spirit of the fest.

I am having enough trouble narrowing down my list of seven, I shouldn't make it a list of eight...

ETA: Hadn't seen "Take Flight" before! It is lovely and I hope the mods agree it is okay for you to nominate.

This Is the Happiness and Peace of Mind Committee - This is an English and human cover of an originally Japanese song made with the Hatsune Miku Vocaloid software.

träumerei - I love the visuals of this PV.

New songs

Athena - I am hoping the full version will be out soon. This is a demon song for one of the newest English Vocaloids.

Circus Monster - Another English cover of a Japanese Vocaloid song. Though if someone wants the original version with Luka by Circus-P, or any other version, I am good with switching.

Evil Food Eater Conchita - I feel I should give a content warning for this. Though nothing graphic appears in the video it does have some disturbing content.
